Article Withdrawal
Article Withdrawal Policy
At TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences, we understand that authors may need to withdraw their article from consideration or after acceptance. We strive to handle such requests in a transparent and fair manner, ensuring that both the authors’ rights and the integrity of the publication process are respected.
Article Withdrawal Before Submission
- Authors are free to withdraw their manuscript before it is submitted for peer review, provided that they notify the editorial team promptly via email at ujpseditor@gmail.com.
- If an article is withdrawn before submission, no charges or penalties will be applied, and the article will be considered as never submitted.
Article Withdrawal After Submission but Before Acceptance
- If an article has been submitted and is under review but not yet accepted, authors may still request a withdrawal by notifying the editorial team in writing.
- Authors should provide a valid reason for the withdrawal request.
- The manuscript will be removed from the peer review process upon confirmation, and no further actions will be taken unless the withdrawal request is submitted after review completion, in which case authors may be required to cover any associated costs (if applicable).
Article Withdrawal After Acceptance but Before Publication
- If an article has been accepted for publication but has not yet been published, authors may request a withdrawal by sending a written request to the editorial team.
- Authors must provide a valid reason for withdrawal, and the editorial board will review the request to ensure that it complies with the journal’s ethical standards.
- If the withdrawal request is approved, the article will be removed from the publication queue, and the authors will be notified. The article will not be published, and no fees will be charged.
Article Withdrawal After Publication
- Withdrawal requests for articles that have already been published are generally not accepted except in cases of severe errors or ethical violations, such as scientific misconduct, plagiarism, or conflicts of interest.
- If a withdrawal request is made after publication, authors should provide strong justification for the request, and the editorial board will assess the situation.
- In the event that a published article is withdrawn, a retraction notice will be issued in place of the article. The retraction will clearly state the reason for the withdrawal and maintain the academic integrity of the journal.
Ethical Considerations and Responsibilities
- Authors requesting article withdrawal should ensure that the article has not been published elsewhere or under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Any manuscript or article withdrawal request should be submitted promptly to avoid unnecessary delays in the review and publication process.
- If an article is withdrawn due to ethical misconduct, it may be reported to relevant institutions or authorities.
Consequences of Article Withdrawal
- If an article is withdrawn after peer review has started or after acceptance, a formal retraction notice may be published with the details of the withdrawal.
- Repeated withdrawals may affect an author’s future submission privileges to the journal.
