Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest Policy

TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity in the publishing process. To ensure the impartiality and transparency of the journal, all authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their work or decisions.

Definition of Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest arises when an individual’s personal, financial, or professional relationships or interests could potentially influence, or be perceived to influence, their judgment, decisions, or actions during the manuscript submission, review, or publication process.

Disclosure of Conflicts

  1. Authors: All authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that may be considered a conflict of interest, including but not limited to:
    • Funding from commercial or research organizations.
    • Financial support or consultancy agreements.
    • Patent applications or intellectual property related to the manuscript.
    • Personal relationships or affiliations that may influence the research or manuscript.

Authors should disclose conflicts of interest in the manuscript submission and in the Conflict of Interest section of the article.

  1. Reviewers: Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect their ability to evaluate a manuscript impartially. If a reviewer feels they have a conflict of interest, they should recuse themselves from reviewing the manuscript.
  2. Editors: Editors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and impartially. They must disclose any conflicts of interest, particularly if they have any personal or financial interests that could bias their decisions.

Handling of Conflicts of Interest

  • Authors: If a conflict of interest is disclosed by the author, the editorial team will assess its potential impact on the manuscript. The manuscript will proceed for review only if the conflict is deemed manageable. If necessary, the editorial board will take action to ensure the integrity of the process, including excluding the author from the peer review or decision-making process.
  • Reviewers and Editors: If a conflict of interest is identified during the review process, the reviewer or editor will recuse themselves, and another individual will be assigned to handle the manuscript.

The journal aims to provide a transparent process and will take all necessary steps to address any conflicts of interest that may arise.
