Self-Archiving Policy
Self-Archiving Policy
TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences supports the principles of open access and encourages authors to share their work widely. To facilitate greater dissemination of knowledge, we have a clear and author-friendly self-archiving policy that allows authors to deposit their work in repositories or personal websites.
- Pre-Print Versions
Authors are allowed to upload a pre-print version of their manuscript (prior to peer review and acceptance) to personal websites, institutional repositories, or open-access preprint servers. However, the following conditions apply:
- The pre-print version should not be identical to the final, peer-reviewed, and published version.
- The pre-print should be clearly labeled as such and should not imply that it has been peer-reviewed or accepted for publication in the journal.
- Post-Print Versions
After the article has been accepted and published in TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences, authors are permitted to self-archive the accepted manuscript (post-peer review, pre-typeset) or the final published version (as available). The following conditions apply:
- Authors may deposit the final published version of the article in their institutional repository, personal website, or other academic repositories.
- The article must be accompanied by the appropriate citation, including the journal's name, issue, and DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for proper attribution.
- The full-text version should not be made available in commercial repositories or on paid access platforms.
- Embargo Period
To ensure the integrity of the peer-review and publication process, the following embargoes are in place:
- Accepted Manuscript: Authors may archive the accepted manuscript (post-peer review version) immediately after the article has been accepted for publication.
- Final Published Version: The final published version (the version that includes all edits, typesetting, and final proof) may be self-archived after an embargo period of 6 months from the official publication date of the article. The publisher's version with final typesetting and formatting should be used when self-archiving, and the DOI must be included.
- Repository and Platform Guidelines
When self-archiving, authors are encouraged to deposit their work in reputable academic repositories, subject-specific archives, or institutional repositories. Examples of suitable platforms include:
- Institutional repositories (e.g., university servers)
- Subject-specific repositories (e.g., PubMed Central for biomedical research, arXiv for scientific papers)
- Open-access repositories (e.g., Zenodo, ResearchGate)
- Version of Record
When authors self-archive their articles, they are encouraged to clearly differentiate between different versions:
- Pre-print: Manuscripts before peer review.
- Accepted Manuscript: Post-peer review, pre-typeset version.
- Published Version: The final typeset version of the article that has been peer-reviewed and published by the journal, which is the version of record.
The version of record (final published version) is always the definitive and authoritative version of the article, and authors must ensure that this is cited when referencing the final published content.
- Licensing
All articles published in TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows authors to share, reuse, and adapt their work, provided that appropriate credit is given. Authors must ensure that when self-archiving their work, they comply with this license and give proper attribution to the original publisher and journal.
- Compliance with Open Access Policy
We encourage authors to adhere to the open-access principles of free and unrestricted access to their research. Authors who deposit their work in open-access repositories help increase the visibility and impact of their research by making it freely available to the global academic community.
This Self-Archiving Policy provides authors with clear guidelines on how to share their research in academic repositories and personal websites, supporting the open-access mission of TMP Universal Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences. By offering the freedom to self-archive, we ensure that research can reach a wider audience while maintaining the integrity of the journal’s publishing process.
